The day after the party, on Sunday, 27th of July, from 12pm we will host a Fleamarket with art supplies. We’ve got a full artist studio up for grabs! Easels, pigments, top-quality art supplies, paper pads, flat file cabinets, furniture, and all sorts of curious gadgets are waiting to find new homes, plus flea market classics like secondhand clothes and books. Come by and browse for unexpected treasures.

26. Juli 2025 Summer Party on Saturday, 26th of July.
We will start at 5pm with a collective game making & playing workshop with Vesti Gium called Culture Crashers: Where collective Expression Fights Back. We will create our own heroes* and fight for the free zones of artistic coexistence – it will be both a dive into game creation and a meta commentary on our work in the Kunstraum, battling all the villains we’ve been dealing with these last years, merged into a hopefully cathartic experience. It will also be fun and easy to play, kids from the age of 9 are welcome to play along!
After a break for snacks and drinks we will continue at 8pm with a reading by Ricardas Kiel. Ricardas will read from their yet unpublished story about two friends who open an illegal pop up tattoo studio, where they decide via a DIY divination process what to tattoo their clients. The story is set in close neighborhood of the Kunstraum, and it poses questions such as: How much structure does a story or a friendship need? How many holes and gaps can a story or a friendship support? What holds people together? How tightly should we hold each other, how free can we let ourselves be?
We will then weave all of these threads together in a small ceremony, to say goodbye, yes – but also to experiment with planting seeds of imagination, giving each other these seeds, engaging in collective dreaming. Keeping the fire alive. Listening and longing.
And then: Music! Food! Drinks! Dancing!
Come and celebrate this very special chapter with us. Entry is Pay-what-you-want, and everybody is welcome to bring something to eat or drink for the buffet.

Portals to the universe
an exhibition by Katie Pickerell
Portals to the universe is a body of work, spanning from the conception of my daughter until the present day. The paintings give snippets into a very personal account of my experience of becoming a mother, depicted from the perspective of my figure the „Fly bitch“.
Having a child has made me vastly question why I want to keep making and showing art in this way. The answer is simply because I love painting and it brings me joy and perhaps there is real resistance in that. I want to share these paintings to ignite an honest conversation amongst people who want to have it.
The Vernissage will start at 5pm on 21.03 and there will be Küfa so families and their children are welcome. There will be an accompanying drawing circle every second Thursday of the month from now until July ran by Ricardas Kiel and I and a finissage on the 11th April where I will do an artist talk. Jutta Hipp geboren in Leipzig, war Pianistin, Künstlerin und Mitbegründerin des Cool Jazz.
Zum 100. Geburtstag gewährt die Ausstellung Einblick in ihren Lebensweg und ihr künstlerisches Werk, das 2003 in New York City seine Vollendung fand.
Zum Hundertjährigen Geburtstags-Jubiläum zeigt die GEDOK Mitteldeutschland einen kleinen Einblick in ihren Lebensweg und Überblick über das Werk, welches 2003 in New York City seine Vollendung fand.
Ihr Schaffen zu würdigen, gibt es Konzert-Veranstaltungen in Leipzig und Umland, die im Jazzkalender angekündigt werden.
Brigitte Blattmann und Birgit Wesolek bei der Feststunde zum Internationalen Frauentag im Sächsischen Landtag zu Dresden. Motto:“ Von Mensch zu Mensch“. Eine interessante Podiumsdikussion zu Themen der Gleichberechtigung. Im Anschluss ein kleiner Empfang und Austausch mit Vertreterinnen verschiedenster Organisationen.
LeipJAZZig e.V. veranstaltet am 04.02.2025 ein Konzert zum 100. Geburtstag von Jutta Hipp.
Wir möchten die leider fast in Vergessenheit geratene Leipziger Jazz-Pianistin und Komponistin mit einem Konzert sowie begleitenden Infos zu Person, Leben und Wirken ehren.
Vereinsmitglieder des LeipJAZZig e.V. nähern sich der Musik von Jutta Hipp aus heutiger Sicht, in verschiedenen Besetzungen vom Solo bis Sextett erklingen ihre Kompositionen und ihre Lieblings-Jazz-Standards in neuen Arrangements.
In der GEDOK en passant Galerie wird vom 03.04. bis 03.07 25 eine Ausstellung an das Leben und Wirken von Jutta Hipp.

Auf Beschluss des Leipziger Stadtrates trägt seit 2011 eine Straße in ihrer Geburtsstadt den Namen Jutta-Hipp-Weg.
Frau Dr. Skadi Jennicke (Kulturbürgermeisterin der Stadt Leipzig) hat für dieses Konzert die Schirmherrschaft übernommen, ein Grußwort erscheint im Programmheft.

in der Künstler*innen der GEDOK Leipzig die Möglichkeit haben, ihre Arbeit zu präsentieren.
Die Ausstellung „Verschmelzung“
mit Arbeiten von Christiane Heidemann
ist ab 07.01.2025 in der GEDOK-Galerie en passant, im Haus des Buches Leipzig (Gerichtsweg 28, 1. Etage, Foyer, 04103 Leipzig) zu sehen.
Im Februar feiert sie ihren 75. Geburtstag und am 20.2.2025 sind alle zu einem Künstlerinnengespräch eingeladen.
Zum internationalen Tag gegen patriarchale Gewalt am 25.11.2024, haben sich viel Akteurinnen in Leipzig zusammengefunden, um ein breites Programm an Aktionen, Demonstrationen und Aufklärung zu betreiben.
Privatsache – (misch dich ein) – wird eine künstlerische Intervention auf dem kleinen Wilhelm-Leuschner-Platz sein.
Die Intervention greift eher unauffällig in den Ort ein, und versucht einen privaten Raum in die Öffentlichkeit zu stellen.
14.00 – 17.00 Uhr.
